So I apologize; I have been a bad blogger this year. After Dr. Perry left, our caseload was spread among those of us remaining as we searched for another doctor. I guess, the blog has been kind of low on the to-do list. Who would have thought that we would still be looking today? To top all of that off, now we say "good bye and good luck" to Dr. Stillmaker. She has accepted a position teaching at the new Veterinary School in Glendale, AZ. While we rejoice in her success and wish her well, we mourn losing another doctor in this current atmosphere. We are now down to 3 of us taking care of you all so please bear with us while we search high and low for more, and qualified doctors to come to help us.
It is with sadness and trepidation that we 3 undertake this difficult task and we will ask for your understanding and patience. We will still make ourselves available for our emergencies and continue to have the office open from 8 am to 8 pm, however, we will restrict our emergencies somewhat to those who are active clients at DVC first and foremost. We will also be seeing patients from 9 am to 5 pm daily instead of 8-6. We are praying and ask you to pray as well, for some doctors to join our team soon.
With this in mind, please give us a call as soon as you notice a problem with your pet rather than waiting, so we can schedule an appointment and not end up with an emergency later.... please understand that we value your time and try to be on schedule, but when emergencies come we will give them our attention just as we give you our attention when it is your turn. The very definition of emergency speaks to unforeseen events and while we leave a few spots available every day for such things, sometimes there are many more than we leave openings to cover.
Above all, thank you all for your love and confidence and trust in us that we can be here for you; to help you and your pets, and do our best every day to keep them healthy and fix what ails them.
God Bless you as we enter this holiday season together.
