Dr. Cheryl Haugo Owner - Veterinarian Licensed in Washington and Arizona since 1986, Dr. Haugo founded Desert Vet Clinic in 1989. Dr. Haugo has special interests in exotics and birds while maintaining her love for cats and dogs - especially Great Danes. Dr. Haugo and husband Mark are owned by two Great Danes, Chloe our clinic mascot and her sister Solveig, 5 cats, 5 goats, 10 ducks, 2 geese and who knows what else will pop up at Haugo Farms!

Jennifer - Practice Manager I am Jennifer and I love my job as Practice Manager of Desert Veterinary Clinic! I am working to attain my goal of becoming the first Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in Yuma. I am owned by 1 Great Dane and 3 Chihuahuas. I am a leader for Southwest Sightseers, a group of dedicated volunteers who raise guide dog puppies for the blind. I have enjoyed being involved with Guide Dogs for the Blind for 17 years.
LeRoy - Inventory Manager and Lead Technician LeRoy started working with Desert Veterinary Clinic in 1996. In 2002 he obtained his license as an Arizona Certified Veterinary Technician. LeRoy's previous experience as a Dolphin and Dog trainer and his organizational skills give him the added responsibility as our main fix it man. LeRoy is the Patient Comfort Zone Supervisor and is responsible for your companions care while in our hospital. LeRoy is owned and operated by his Great Dane, Nitzdawg and his Rhodesian Ridgeback, Jackson.

Mark John Haugo - Specialist
Mark John was born in Minnesota and met Dr. Haugo in Idaho while they were both attending undergraduate school. He was a wild lands firefighter and on the road to a biologist position with the Dept. Of Interior when he was severely injured in an accident in 1990. Mark John has made a remarkable recovery so far and now gives his energy to assisting the Kindergarten teachers at Yuma Lutheran School and working out at the YMCA. He helps Doc with their many animals at Haugo Farms and is in charge of the Employee Break Room at Desert Vet. Thanks for washing all our dirty dishes Mark John!
